LATI announce increased profits for 2008

Financial results for 2008 show that Lufthansa Airmotive Technik, the Irish arm of Lufthansa Technik, generated a profit of €23.6m on turnover of €254m, a 16.5% YoY increase in profit on YoY revenue growth of 6.4%.

In excess of 1,300 people are employed at the four Lufthansa Airmotive Technik facilities in Ireland - Shannon Aerospace, Lufthansa Turbine Technik Shannon, Lufthansa Aircraft Painting Shannon and Lufthansa Airmotive Technik in Rathcoole Co. Dublin.

Lufthansa Airmotive workers accept NIB proposals

Workers at Lufthansa Airmotive in Rathcoole Co. Dublin have accepted a deal which looks to have secured employment for the future. Last week the company placed the 465 workers at the plant on protective notice following the failure of the employees to accept new work practices. The National Implementation Body (NIB) presented proposals to the workers which were accepted.
