15,000 send email concerning travel tax

Anyone purchasing a Ryanair ticket (in Ireland) will have noticed that the option of sending a protest email to the Irish Government concerning the implementation of the travel tax is now part of the booking process. Ryanair confirmed today that 15,000 people have availed of the opportunity to send an email since the petition was launched three weeks ago. The airline continues to highlight the fact the Dutch and Belgian governments have scrapped similar taxes which had a negative impact on tourism.
