No role for Shannon Aerospace in SRT rescue

Martin Kaiser, head of Shannon Aerospace has ruled out any role for his company in saving the SR Technics business at Dublin Airport. Speaking to the Irish Independent he said that Shannon Aerospace hadn't expressed an interest in SR Technics as there were 'too many legacy issues'. He added that Aerospace had an advantage over SRT since the Shannon facility had been set up on a greenfield site with no legacy issues whereas SRT had inherited work practices and other issues from it's origins as TEAM Aer Lingus. 'Your position in the market is always a product of cost and efficiency' he said.
