Aer Lingus traffic figures for August

Aer Lingus today published it's traffic figures for August.
A total of 1,089,000 passengers were carried for the month which represents a 7.7% YoY monthly increase.
Short haul passenger numbers were 973,000 a 10% YoY increase while long haul numbers were 116,000 down 8.3% YoY.
Network load factor was 83%, a 2.4% YoY increase against a capacity drop of 0.7%. Short haul load factor was 85%, up 2% YoY while capacity grew 10.7%. The decline in long haul performance has at least been arrested if not reversed. Load factor was 79.7%, up 2.1% YoY against a reduction in capacity of 14.8%.
