VT-AIP arrives in Shannon for paint

Air India Airbus A310-324F registered VT-AIP arrived in Shannon this afternoon from Dresden where the aircraft had been converted to freighter status. The aircraft will be painted in the colors of Air Deccan at Lufthansa Shannon Aircraft Paint. Pictured below, VT-AIP is seen on finals to R24 at lunchtime today using Airbus flight number AIB 697. As can be seen, the freighter conversion consists of a lot more than just adding a forward freight door - the rear fuselage rib replacements can also be seen.
