Ryanair to continue ops at Weeze

Ryanair today welcomed the announcement that a new operating licence had been granted to Weeze airport at Niederrhein which will enable it to continue operations from the airport. Two weeks ago the airline had ceased taking bookings to or from Weeze and had said that it would close it's base at the airport as a result of new operating hours coming into effect. Ryanair currently operate 6 aircraft from the airport which delivers 2.5m passengers annually to the area and it's hinterland.
