Aer Lingus sees dip in December pax numbers

Aer Lingus today published the passenger statistics for December 2008. The airline carried 703,000 passengers for the month which was a 4.6% Year on Year reduction over December 2007. Short haul was down 4.1% with long haul down 8.1%.
Short haul passenger numbers were 612,000 which represents a load factor of 66.9%, down 1.9% YoY.
Long haul numbers were 72,600 which represents a load factor of 72.6%, down 0.5% YoY.
Short haul capacity was up 1.4% YoY whilst long haul capacity was down 10.2% YoY.
