Ryanair hit 58m passengers for 2008

Ryanair published their year end passenger statistics for 2008 this afternoon. For the twelve months ended December 31 the airline carried a total of 57.7m passengers which represents an increase in 18% over the 2007 figure. Load factor for the twelve months was 81.5%.

For the all important month of December the airline carried a total of 4.37m passengers which represents an 11% YoY increase over December 2007. Load factor the month was unchanged, YoY at 79%. The airline expects to carry 65m passengers in 2009.
