Boeing 707 N88ZL fuel stops at Shannon

Boeing 707 visits are becoming a rare thing so the arrival of N88ZL was very welcome at Shannon today. Arriving late morning from Miami on a fuel stop en-route Bahrain,  N88ZL, msn 18928 is pictured above, departing into snow clouds off R06 at lunchtime.

Very special aircraft indeed. Pity the day was so dull. I saw it entering the clouds as I was driving to work, rubber necking of a different kind. Can't mistake those JT3D's even with hushkits.

This aircraft was back in shannon once again today sept 22. We got very close to it today, unusual nacelles and T/R for a 707, very 737-200.
